How Schools, Camps, Afterschool and Sports programs use Parent Super App

Schools, Camps, Afterschool programs use Parent SuperApp because the app provides an free and easy way to help families in their community carpool without taking on additional administrative chores. Most parent communities want to carpool more but they don’t because it’s hard to find carpool buddies. When there is no busing, carpooling is a simple way to reduce the transportation burden on families. The chore of getting kids to and from school everyday not only reduces the appeal of a program, but sometimes parents simply cannot get their kids to school, harming attendance.

Here’s a step-by-step guide for using Parent SuperApp.

Step 1

Create a carpool in the app. Simplify click on the ‘+’ sign. Some organizations create just one group. Others create a group by campus, neighborhood, team, etc.. There’s no limit on the number of groups anyone can create.

Step 2

Send out links to the carpool groups in an email, text threads, or post in a group channel. Include the links and descriptions of the carpool group(s) in ongoing communications with the families. You can also create a poster with a QR code and put it in the front office.

Sample email or blurb: “Dear Families, we’ve heard that many of you would like getting here to be easier. That’s why we’re now using a (free) app called ParentSuperApp to make it easy for you find other families to carpool with. Simply click on this [link] to join the [Insert your name] carpool group. Once there you can post rides, join rides, ask for rides, and find families who live near you and might want to carpool. This is a simple way for you to self-organize carpools. Note that [XYZ school] is just creating the carpool group - it’s on families to create and organize their carpools on a daily basis.

Pro-tip: Many communities have super organizer type parents who are very active in the community and well connected. Many ask for help from these parents in building awareness and understanding of the app.

Step 3

Families will click on the link and join your carpool group. From there they can post rides, join rides, ask for rides and find other families who become their carpool buddies.
